HTC continues its Android 2.1 lineup with the Desire, a gorgeous cousin of the renowned Nexus One. It is powered by a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor and includes an active-matrix OLED (AMOLED) screen and a 5-megapixel camera.
It lacks the voice-to-text abilities of the Nexus One which includes the noise-cancelling microphone. HTC Desire does however include an FM radio, something the Nexus One lacks.
HTC’s Sense interface is a great improvement on the standard Android interface. There’s Sense’s People app brings together all your contacts, across multiple services such as Google, Exchange, Facebook, Flickr, and automatically looks for duplicates and lets you merge.
Another good thing about HTC Desire is the web pages load quickly, pinch-zoom gestures work without lag and the automatic screen rotation enabled by the device’s accelerometer occurs as soon as you turn the HTC Desire on its end.
