Mobiles Download

I had a bunch of photos on my iphone and synced to my laptop. Then my laptop died, and I had to re-install the OS and iTunes, etc. The only copy of those pictures is on my iphone. Is there a way to get those pictures off the iphone?

I am aware that I could mail the photos to myself, but the phone scales down images for emailing. Since my phot library contains only 41 pictures according to the app on the phone, and is using 30 MB according to iTunes, I would assume that the high res images are actually stored on there. There really needs to be a way to do a reverse sync from the iPhone. Any clues would be appreciated.

You can send your iPhone photos to a web gallery you’ve set up in iPhoto. it’s fairly easy (though, having to send them one at a time can try your patience). From there, they can be downloaded as a whole gallery at once. Apple will stuff them into a single archive and, once downloaded, you have them on your Mac. I don’t believe any data is lost, though I might be wrong. Final files are 900k.
