The phone book in the Nokia 8600 is quite good, allowing users to save almost any kind of data under one contact. You can save various numbers, mailing addresses, email addresses, birthdays, and even a note about the contact.
The Luna does not come with UMTS support and certainly not with WiFi connectivity. Infrared support is also missing, but the device does include Bluetooth v2.0 connectivity. Transferring files back and forth between desktop computer and the handset worked flawlessly.
Photos taken with the Luna tended to have somewhat of a bluish hue and this hampered picture quality quite a bit. Playing around with the white balance options did not really improve on this. Users have the option of setting the phone to take photos in various color effects including sepia, black and white, and negative. The 2.0-megapixel camera can also be used to record video clips in two resolutions - 176×144 or 128×96 pixels.
