LG KU990 Viewty
Similar to the LG Prada phone, the LG KU990 comes in a glossy black casing and features a large display. The touchscreen interface produces small vibrations that make it easier to sense when you've touched it, a system that Motorola also uses in its Motorola Razr 2 V8, and one we think works really well.
The 5MP camera on the back comes with a Schneider Kreuznach lens, auto-focus and manual focus, image stabilization and LED photo light, but more interestingly -- or curiously -- it can shoot video at up to 120 frames per second. The reason we're curious about the high frame rate is because it's about four times higher than a standard camcorder and is usually intended for viewing videos in slow motion or shooting fast-moving action footage.
Whether or not viewing slow-motion clips is your thing, the KU990 does one thing that'll please many: it has the ability to upload videos directly to YouTube, a feature that many iPhone users would love to see. You can also watch YouTube videos on the handset.

Some reviews regarding LG KU990 (picked from cnet):
What users like:
Looks, Screen, Nice touch screen and just the right size, Huge and bright screen, Easy to use, Style, Sexy, High Speed Data Transfer, Decent camera
What users don't like:
Scrolling, Sync., Some logic, Not very impress with its camera, No cover for the camera lens(but there is a case available), Fingerprints, Memory support limited to 2gb, Poor sound quality, Limited volume in mp3 playback, Awful pc connectivity, No Wi-fi, Quite Basic For A 5MP Phone, The silly un-thought-out bugs and niggles, Touchscreen is annoying, connectivity software is terrible, cannot access as external drive
Details review:
(a) Negative:
- The phone is excellant in many ways but the scroll wheel "thing" round the lens is impossibly hard to use.
- Worst of all is the failure to connect and sync with the laptop. One minute it is working then it stops. Reinstall everything, it works, then it stops.
- Im a little bit disappointed with its camera, got this phone beacuse of its camera but my samsung D900's photos are much much better (overall - close ups and landscape shots), viewty's color is distinctively pale..though its 120 fps is great..If you're looking for a nice 5MP camera phone, this one is not the best out there..
- The scrolling/zoom jog wheel on the back. It is useless as it is in the wrong place to make it ergonomically sound. It's just not comfortable to use. Also when you are browsing the web it works as a zoom function rather than a scroll one which is stupid. You are forced to slide up and down the right of the screen with your finger which is unreliable and you often end up hitting hyperlinks rather than moving the page down.
- The bundled software. It is full of bugs, is unstable on a number of pcs i tested it on and it even has spelling and grammar mistakes! Also for some reason you cannot simply plug in the phone via usb and access your files as a mass storage device - this is ludicris esp considering how painful it is to transfer files using the supplied software.
- Ridiculous 2gb memory limit. I even tried plugging i na 4gb microSD card to see if it would work but to no avail. This is another BIG mistake from LG. Surely a phone designed for media would allow support for more than 2gb, particularly when manufacturer's such as Nokia and Sony Ericcsson have phones equipped with 4 and 8gbs of memory.
- The phone's media player software is truly awful. You can't play anything loud enough and in order to change tracks from the album list you have to stop the current track! This is ridiculous. On sony's you can simply do this whilst the last track is playing and que it.
- I'm worried about is getting dust and scratching the lens. Also being a photographer I would of like to see the flash fire when you change the light sensitivity setting (ISO) instead of it only firing when in Auto Mode.
- the PC suite needs to be updated, you should be able to directly access the phones memory so you can drag and drop files, the stylus looks very similar to my girlfriends lip liner! it should also be inbuilt in the handset its only a matter of time before i loose it! the built in game is terrible!
(b) Positive:
- The software is very easy to use and to navigate.
- Someone said that you can't charge the phone while it is switched on as it turns itself off, mine doesn't do this, so not sure what the issue is!
- Also if the phone is turned off and have an alarm set, it will still sound the alarm, and if it was set to silent profile before you turned it off, the alarm vibrates the phone!
- The jog wheel is easy to work out and I find it very handy!
- One point when navigating the Internet and you need to click a link on a website, it is best to use the wand supplied as your fingers are too big, but then you can't have everything!
- Brilliant phone. I opted for it over the 850i and i'm glad io did as it looks the dogs. The touch screen is incredibly easy to use and it's a phone for those who want da bomb
- The features and menus are easy to use, the software package is very useful and enables you to sync your phone with your PC so all your important info (i.e. phonebook) is stored elsewhere and organise your folders without running down your phone battery.
- Camera/video is second to none but I agree on the comments about a lens cover which would have been nice.
